In the past Summer Sundae has been voted the best small festival in the UK, and there's plenty of reasons why. Although it attracts some of the biggest names in music, the Summer Sundae Weekender has managed to retain a low-key atmosphere. It's spread over De Monfort Hall and Park, and its size means it's easy to navigate your way around, so there's no cattle-like surges between stages. Kicking Off The Action
The line up for the 2010 festival looks very impressive indeed, with some of the biggest names in the business taking to the De Montford Hall and Gardens stage. The Go! Team, The Fall, Mumford and Sons, Turin Brakes and Tinchy Stryder are just some of the live acts headlining this year's festival, so get ready to tap those toes to some of the finest musical minds in the land.

Others acts confirmed on the line-up are Laura Viers, Liam Frost, Isbells, The Invisible, The Low Anthem, Tunng, The Whip, Woodentops, Rugosa Nevada, Lissie and Lou Rhodes, no doubt increasing the demand for Summmer Sundae tickets. Each year the festival hosts around 100 acts. Previous year's line ups have included Supergrass, Noah and The Whale and the Mystery Jets alongside dozens of other up and coming bands. But it's not all about the music. Leicester's Summer Sundae Weekender has found the magic festival formula - ensuring there's something for everyone. So as well as musicians, there's stand-up comedy and plenty to keep the kids entertained from face-painting to arts and crafts plus plenty of chill-out areas.
